Webinar 2: Innovative approaches to monitoring the subsurface: a naturally-occurring gas seep in the French Alps
The second webinar presented studies undertaken by SECURe project partners on a site in France in order to develop strategies for environmental baseline assessment, which cover the full project lifecycle — from operational to post-operational — and can be applied to different scales of project.
Webinar 1: Deterministic and probabilistic approaches to well integrity risk investigation and remediation strategies
This webinar presented work performed in the SECURe H2020 EU project addressing assessment of loss of well integrity in subsurface energy operations and ways to remediate such losses. The work combines numerical simulations and laboratory experiments. A probabilistic well integrity modelling workflow was developed in this project. The tool captures the impact of uncertainties in the input parameters for well integrity analysis. The workflow is applied to two case studies to demonstrate the probability of well failure under various operational conditions.
Virtual meeting: Good practice in environmental monitoring
The SECURe team completed two fact-finding missions to North America and Australia to establish an understanding of current good practice in site performance and environmental monitoring from a practical and operational perspective. The theme of this virtual two-session event was 'Good practice in environmental monitoring' and focused on innovative monitoring and practical experience of effective community engagement.

Mission: safe and cost-effective CO2 storage for European industries
The second Pre-ACT Stakeholder Workshop will cover the status of and lessons learned from key industrial and research projects on CO2 storage. The event will include participants from industry, research and field laboratories, including research partners from the SECURe project.
